SOC 2 Compliance at AnnounceKit

Security has been of primary importance for us from day one, now confirmed with SOC 2.

We here at AnnounceKit always prioritize the trust of our users. So we work hard to ensure and protect their privacy and data. This is why we are pleased as punch to announce that AnnounceKit is now SOC 2 Type I compliant!

SOC 2 is a framework applicable to all SaaS companies that store customer data to ensure that organizational controls and practices effectively safeguard customer and client data privacy and security.

With this compliance, AnnounceKit will continue to demonstrate how we cover privacy, security, and confidentiality.

Disable Feed: Completely Restrict Access to Feed

Some of our users desire a feed for neither public nor internal uses. In some cases, a widget view for product updates can be sufficient for informing your users without a need to direct them to another page.

Therefore, we have launched an option to disable feed if you don't need any standalone feed. It will restrict access to your feed completely and your users cannot reach it under any circumstances.

If you want to restrict your standalone feed completely, obviously we did not, you can go to Settings, Public Feed, and check the "Disable Feed" box. No more feed 🙅‍♀️

Webhooks Integration

The more you streamline your business processes, the more you reduce your workload.

So, we are constantly improving our integration options to make your experience smoother. Let me present you with Webhooks 🔗

Webhooks is a technology that integrates applications with minimal effort to send automated messages and push real-time data from one application to another. At its simplest, it is a way of your applications speaking to each other.

From now on, AnnounceKit will be able to speak to your other applications, and you will be able to receive AnnounceKit events via webhooks.

Monthly Archive: Jump to Month 🤸‍♀️

Archiving is important to put the posts you published in a specific month together and keep your data in order.

From now on, you can display a monthly archive on your feed to group your posts by month and enable your users to easily see what improvements you have done in that specific month.

When your users click on any month, the result will show all the posts for that particular month.

You can add an archive to your feed by going to Theme Designer and enabling Archive. How exactly? Let's see here!

JWT User Authentication

Maintaining user integrity across platforms can be an issue in some cases. Don't worry, AnnounceKit has a solution to that too.

JSON Web Token (JWT) is an industry standard that defines a self-contained simple token for securely transmitting information between parties. This token is verified and trusted. It is signed using a secret key by a trusted source, mostly by you.

Setting the JWT improves user integrity, and you can be sure that only verified users can interact with your feed. Also, if you're using the Private Feed option, it adds an additional layer of security by only allowing verified users.

Widget Segmentation

You have more than one widget on your web page? Each of them is talking to different groups of people? You need a way to choose a certain widget to distribute your posts?

Good news, we have come up with an easy way for you!

With Widget Segmentation, you'll be able to manage your posts' visibility on your widgets easily. When you choose the segment field Widget and select the relevant one, your post will be displayed only on this widget.

It will allow you to push your announcements to a particular widget and increase their performance with a better distribution process.
